How to Invite Local Connections™ to Participate and Support You Back

As you're supporting your Local Connections™, it's important to encourage their participation and support!

Available for the Build, Grow & Coordinate plans on the Locable Marketing Platform

Supporting your Local Connections™ through our automated tools is great, but it's even better when they participate too.

When business owners set up their Locable account and claim their business profile, it allows them to participate in a few important ways:

  1. They can ensure their company profile information is correct and make updates to elaborate on how their business appears on local directories by adding their logo, a dynamic description, business hours, social media links, etc.  You can read more about that in our Getting Started Guide.

  2. They can support you back by using the Locable directories, calendars, and more on their website, and including you in that content.

  3. They can use other free and affordable tools from Locable to market their business.

Participation Status

You can view a company's participation status by looking in your CRM:

There are 4 different Participation Status indicators:

  1. Invite - the business has not yet been invited to claim its Locable account.
  2. Pending Invite - an invitation has been sent to the company from your Locable account.
  3. Resend Invite - an invitation has previously been sent but the company did not claim their Locable account.
  4. Claimed - the company has claimed their free Locable account.

If a business in your CRM has not yet been Invited, it is very easy to send them an invitation, as long as you have an email address for them.

Sending a Custom Invitation

If you have added businesses to your CRM to populate your directory or other embeds, you can invite the business owner to claim their Locable account.

In your Locable account, navigate to CRM > Companies & Causes. Find the business and click to open their company record.

Then scroll down to confirm there is an Associated Contact, presumably the owner. Then click 'Invite':

This will allow our system to pre-populate the email template and customize it. Then click to Send the Invite.

If there is no Associated Contact

If you're looking at a Company record and you don't have an Associated Contact, as long as you have a public email address for the company you can click the Invite button at the top of the company record.

Then click to Send the Invite.

Your Custom Shareable Invite URL

You can also share your custom invite link with your Local Connections™ by adding it to any email you send, including it with your email signature, sharing it to social media, etc.
