There are times when you want to redirect visitors or search engines from one URL to another—whether you're replacing old content, cleaning up duplicate pages, or moving to a new domain.

Setting up a 301 redirect in your Locable account is simple:

  1. Go to Website > Redirects in your dashboard.

  2. Review any existing redirects already in place.

  3. Click Add Redirect to create a new one.

You'll be able to define:

  • The origin URL (the page you’re redirecting from)

  • The destination URL (the page you’re redirecting to)

This is especially useful when launching a new site or replacing outdated URLs—ensuring your visitors and search engines don’t encounter dead ends.

You can also redirect to a different domain entirely. For example, you might redirect a page to a custom sitemap, a third-party booking platform, or another site you manage.
