Posting an event is a pretty simple and straightforward process. To start, click New > Event and then add the event details.
Title
This is critical for readership, social media engagement, and SEO. Keep it clear and simple, but include enough detail so people know what it’s about. Include keywords or phrases your audience is likely to search for or recognize.
Summary (Optional)
Use this as a subtitle to quickly highlight key additional details, like headliners, special guests, or quick facts.
Image
Use a photo that reflects the vibe of the event—such as people enjoying a past event, the venue, or a relevant scene.
Avoid uploading a flyer as your main image. Here's why:

Flyers are packed with text that often gets cut off or becomes unreadable, especially on mobile.

Text in images can’t be read by screen readers, which means it is not ADA-compliant.

It may look unprofessional or cluttered in listings or on social platforms.

Upload a clean, high-quality photo and—if you want to share the flyer—attach it as a downloadable PDF or link to it from the event details section.
Start Date & Time
Set the event’s start date using the calendar picker. Include the start and end time (hour and minute). If there’s no end time, check the "Has no end time" box.
Repetition

If the event is one-time, select Does Not Repeat.

For recurring events, choose either:

Daily/Weekly: Select which days of the week it repeats.

Monthly: Choose which week(s) of the month it occurs.

Location
You can choose from:

Previously Used Locations

Your Public Places/Non-Businesses

Your Businesses/Venues

Online/Virtual Event
If the location isn’t listed, click Add a New Location—it’ll be saved for future use.
Details
This is the core content of your event post—help people quickly understand what it is and why they should attend. It doesn’t have to be long; bullet points are great!
Include:

Who it’s for (families, adults, kids, etc.)

Why it’s worth attending

Any important notes (bring a chair, register ahead, etc.)

Keep it clear, friendly, and easy to scan—this is your chance to get people excited!
Meta Data

Event Categories: Choose the relevant age group(s).

Participating Businesses: Tag any related businesses or venues.

Tags: Add any of your defined tags to help group this event with similar posts.
