How to Edit Companies & Causes in Your CRM

Maintain an up-to-date CRM to support and be supported by local businesses and nonprofits.

Available for all plans on the Locable Marketing Platform

The CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database is designed to help you organize and manage the various Companies & Causes you support, such as businesses, nonprofits, clubs, and other organizations.

Editing Companies & Causes in your CRM

You can edit a company in your CRM by going to CRM > Companies & Causes and clicking on the company name. This will open the company record.

If the business has not 'Claimed' their Locable account (noted in the participation status), you will be able to edit the company details in their company record.

Once your edits are complete, click 'Save Company Detail Changes'.

 

NOTE: You can also connect Contacts from your Contact database to a company record by adding their name in the Associated Contacts area and clicking 'Update Associations'.

Can I update the details for a Claimed business?

If a business has already claimed its Locable account, you won't be able to edit its company data directly, but you can adjust how it will display on your website. To do this, you will need to edit the Private information in the company record.

Once your edits are complete, click 'Save Company Detail Changes'.

Deleting Companies & Causes in your CRM

You can remove a company from your CRM by going to CRM > Companies & Causes and clicking on the 'plus' symbol to the left of the company name. Then click 'Delete'.

This will remove the company from your CRM database, but will not remove the company from Locable's database.
