Adding forms to your publisher website is a powerful way to engage with your audience and gather valuable insights. Forms allow you to request and collect data directly from your readers, whether it’s for feedback, email subscriptions, lead generation, or user-generated content.

By embedding forms on your pages or within your articles, you can streamline interactions, improve reader engagement, and enhance the overall experience on your site.

This guide will walk you through the steps of adding forms, helping you unlock their potential to grow your audience and improve your website’s functionality.

Adding a Form to your Page or Article

Click to open an existing page/article or add a new page/article to your website, and then below the content, you can click 'Insert Form' to add a Form to the page or article.

Once selected, you can begin to build your form.

  1. For each form, you will need to identify who the form responses will be sent to.
  2. You can add a variety of fields to collect data with your form
  3. Form Options: Click to add a 'reply to' email at the top of your form, for the user to complete, and/or to add a field to allow the user to upload a file.
  4. If you choose to add a file upload field, you may want to include a description of what you're specifically asking for with the file upload.
  5. Add a URL of where the user will be taken once they submit their form.

NOTE: If you add a 'Reply To' email in the Form Options, you don't need to add a separate field to your form to collect their email address.

Adding Fields to Your Form

When you click 'Add Field' you have the option to create a label for the input field and choose the type of input.

Short and Long text fields allow the user to add freeform text for their response.

If you select 'Radio Buttons' or 'Dropdown Select', you will be presented with a button to add the various options for the choices:

You can also choose if the field input is required for the user.

If you click the 'Remove' checkbox to the right of a particular field, it will remove the field from the form once you save your changes.

Once you've completed the details for your form, be sure to scroll to the top to Save the changes to the page/article.
